She’s rather charming, well mannered, and professional. Another hard-working obedient employee of this huge system for human transport… Or maybe not. While she’s good at performing all the classical manners, contributing to the superficial side of the system, Mari.R is also an unexpected defect in this module. minding her own business, a wheel moving the other way. This doesn’t mean she is a cold blooded rule breaker but more the opposite: a human who can’t hide enough of her emotion under the uniform. Whether ironically, or obviously, she is actually part of another system, which operates in a different morality. Mari.R looks smooth, sharp, and untouchable, but also she runs from fear, dances from joy, and cries sometimes. This video documents a zoom-in to an individual that happens to be part of something but turns out to be much more than that — like any individual. This observant film captures subtle moments of body/face expression and floating feelings throughout. The story develops minimally like the song itself, building up slowly but surely with soft and small changes that lead to revealing an eternal spacious awareness of some sort, going back and forth between the universal and personal which Mari.R’s enjoys being part of and not being part of, too.

Elle fait pourtant partie d’un autre système, qui opère sous d’autres moralités. Mari.R est efficace et intouchable mais elle est aussi habitée par la peur, danse de joie et pleure parfois. Cette vidéo se concentre sur une personne qui fait partie d’une entité mais qui est finalement plus que cela – comme tout individu. Ce film d’observation capture les subtils moments d’expressions de visage, de corps et de ressentis. L’histoire se développe de façon minimale, comme la musique, se construisant doucement mais sûrement avec de légers et petits changements qui amènent à révéler une conscience éternelle et spacieuse, faite d’allers et retours entre l’éternel et le personnel dont Mari R. aime faire partie, et parfois non.
